Starting from scratch, CZUB engineers took the best features of the original Shadow and improved upon them. More than two years later, we’re seeing the fruits of their efforts. With a higher beavertail and undercut trigger guard, the shooter’s hand is able to be as close to the bore axis as possible. With a contoured slide, the majority of the reciprocating mass is also centered on the bore, equating to less muzzle flip. Increased weight at the dust cover/rail also helps keep the muzzle down.
The Shadow 2’s swappable mag release has an adjustable, extended button with three settings to allow shooters to set it in the spot most comfortable for them. Best of all, new trigger components give smooth DA and crisp, clean SA while drastically reducing trigger reset.
A hardy nitride coats the entire pistol, leaving it nearly impervious to corrosion, while the frame gets an additional layer of our black Polycoat finish. Thin blue aluminum grips have healthy checkering to match the fine front and backstrap checkering of the pistol itself. Sitting atop the slide are a set of target sights — fiber optic on front and a serrated, black HAJO rear (click adjustable for elevation, drift adjustable for windage).

This comes with 3 magazines. Trigger is well tuned for both single and double action. Fit and finish is perfect. Pulling the slide back is a bit difficult due to the slide being a bit smaller in height compared to other pistols. This is because the rails on the slide runs inside the frame but I want to emphasize that it's an insignificant issue. If you are into competition shooting, there's no better gun in 9mm than this.

I have wanted a competition style 9mm for many years now. When i saw the low price of this firearm, i almost couldnt beleive it. Checked to make sure gun prime was legit retailer which they definetly are legit. Placed the order. It shipped immediately and next weekend took the gun to range and lets just say you have a happy customer. Now my only problem is stocking up on ammo as this wants to shoot fast and eats ammo like cookie monster.

CZ's Shadow 2 is an amazing weapon. I only have 180 rounds through it so far but it ran eight different brands of 124 and 115 gr with no issues. Accuracy is excellent, as it should be for a weapon that lightens your wallet as much these pistols do.
I have medium sized hands with fingers on the shorter side. Trigger reach in DA is doable but just. Single action is where the money is, literality, and worth it in my opinion. In SA there is a slight bit of creep and has a light crisp break. It is the best I have shot outside of a 1911/2011 platform.
At the range I warmed up with a Wilson Combat Commander, Ruger GP100 w/ 4" barrel, Beretta APX A1 full size and a compact tactical. Shooting the Shadow2 I realized all those raving reviews were true. Accuracy, the way it fits the hand, very low recoil, stays on target, build quality, all excellent and boy is it a fast shooter. I kept thinking how many rounds I could put on target with the Shadow2 before I got to the second round in the other guns. It makes you want spend what money you have left in your wallet on more ammo, it's just fun to shoot.
The only issues I have with the weapon, long trigger reach on the DA and slide is more difficult to rack, were known going in and have proved to be worth dealing with for me.

Great pistol. Cajun Gun Works has all the upgrades for the internals if you like to tinker. The aluminum grips lose some traction on those hot, sweaty range days. So I swapped them out for a set of LOK palmswell grips, HUGE difference. Gunprime was the ablolsolute fastest time from order placement to my FFL, 3 days if I remember correctly.
