Shotguns
Shotguns are typically long guns similar to rifles, but fire cartridges known as shotshells containing multiple small pellets known as shot or a single large projectile known as a slug. Shotguns normally possess a smooth bore although some variants contain rifling designed for use with slugs. There are many shotgun variations from modern semi-automatic to pump, bolt, lever, and break-action guns. Shotguns are versatile guns that can be used for home defense, competitions, and hunting.
